2010-11 High School Registration

February 17, 2010

Registration for the 2010-11 school year is underway! We recognize that proper class placement is essential to students achieving their goals toward graduation and beyond. The 2010-11 Registration Guide and Registration Forms are available for download at the end of this article. Letters have been sent to all families with students in grades 9-12 next fall.

We are very excited to be able to offer concurrent college credit opportunities from MN West for juniors and seniors that have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. We are also looking at Agriculture classes and also revitalizing our FFA program! Specifically, you will find in the registration guide an overview of the number of credits needed within each discipline in order for students to receive a high school diploma in the state of Minnesota.

Please complete the appropriate registration forms prior to Monday, February 22, 2010. Mr. Hanson will use this form to document the classes for which your child is registered. Remember, these are your requests for the next school year, please note that some courses may change due to under enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. Once your child is registered, a copy of the completed registration form will be given to him/her and Mr. Hanson will retain the original in the student's file.

It is our sincere desire that parents and students will work and plan together to select courses for the next school year. Registration forms must be completed and signed by a parent. During the next few weeks Mr. Hanson will facilitate the registration process by assisting in proper class placement with each student.

As we plan for the upcoming school year, the entire staff at Round Lake-Brewster High School is committed to a positive investment into your child's educational experience. This commitment, coupled with the active role of our parents and students, will assist in keeping children as our business and parents as our partners. Making the right academic choices regarding course selection will assist in more victories in the classrooms!
