Industrial Technology/AD

by Lon Eichenberger

April 12, 2006

I graduated from Iowa State University in 1981 with a BS degree in Industrial Education along with a coaching license.  I landed my first teaching job with the Sioux Valley-Round Lake School Districts in 1981 and have been a part of SVRLB ever since.  I teach a variety of subjects in Industrial Tech.  I also am the Activities Director for the school districts and coach the boys basketball team.  I have been married to Martha for 22 years.  She is a dental hygienist and works in Worthington.  We have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy.  Molly is the oldest. She is a sophomore in college and attends SDSU in Brookings.  She is currently enrolled in the FACS Education program with a minor in Chemistry and Nutrition.  Molly is also a Skyleader for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, a developmental NBA team.  Lon David is a freshmen in college at Minnesota West, Worthington. He played basketball this past winter and is currently working out and practicing baseball for the Bluejays.  Mara is in the 9th grade.  Just like her brother and sister, Mara stays busy with the activities the school has to offer. I find the most enjoyable things to do are to spend time with my wife and children.  Martha and I get great satisfaction watching & supporting our children as they participate and compete in the many extra-curricular activities they are involved with.  I almost forgot another important member of our family is Tommy.  Tommy is a miniature long haired dachshund and has been a part of the family for 11 years.
