First Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Chris Riley. I
am the first grade teacher at Brewster Elementary.
I grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, where I attended college at Briar Cliff College, receiving a BA in Elementary Education and History in 1989.
In 1993, I began working at the Sioux Valley Elementary building as a 5th and 6th grade teacher.
I received an MS in Educational Leadership from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota in 1999.
When the elementary moved to Brewster in 2000, I worked as a 5th and 6th grade teacher, as well as the Title I teacher and coordinator. In 2003, I began my current position in 1st grade.
I love my job and enjoy working with the students and families here.
My husband, Frank, and our two children live and farm near Round Lake.
For fun I enjoy spending time at my children's activities, reading, cooking, and traveling.
