When I Grow Up!
Elementary Spring Music Program
April 22, 2008
Mark your calendars for the RL-B Spring Music Program. The Elementary Spring Concert for all the music classes K-6 is on Thursday, May 8th, at 7:00 p.m. All the students K-6 are participating and have all been working very hard preparing their music for you! This year the theme for the program is "When I Grow Up!" It explores what the students would like to be when they grow up. We have been learning about all the occupations that are available to us...which are many! The students are enjoying the music and we know you will too!
Students are encouraged to dress for the evening as what they would like to be when they grow up OR any other favorite occupation. They are singing about certain occupations as well, so may choose to dress as one of those characters. We are hoping to see a WIDE variety of costumes from the 150 students after having discovered the many, many job types that are available. It will be fun to see everyone dressed that night. Hopefully they can borrow from friends, neighbors or relatives to come up with a costume for the concert. The more the variety of costumes we see, will help tie in with the theme of the show!
The concert will include the 5th-6th grade Elementary Band as well as the 4th grade Recorder Ensemble! The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Students are asked to arrive at 6:30. Band students should report to the Music Room while the K-6 classes report to their classrooms where they will be supervised by their teachers.
We look forward to the big evening for all of our students!
